JD DuBois is a mental performance coach, NBA consultant, and doctoral student in Sport and Performance Psychology with over a decade of experience coaching at the highest level. As a former assistant coach for the Los Angeles Lakers, Detroit Pistons, and Toronto Raptors, he has worked with over 100 NBA and collegiate athletes, helping them master both the mental and physical aspects of peak performance.
JD founded Wholistic Coaches to bridge the gap between technical skill development, game strategy, and the mental game—creating a platform where coaches, athletes, and organizations can elevate performance through Collaboration, Intentionality, Flexibility, and Mindfulness. His expertise extends beyond basketball, consulting with teams, organizations, and corporate leaders on leadership, resilience, and mental toughness.
In addition, JD leads Wholistic Hoops, a development program designed to refine athletes' on-court skills—from ball handling, shooting, and finishing to perception-action coupling, confidence, and a winning mindset. His philosophy is simple: the best athletes aren’t just physically skilled; they’re mentally strong.
